Course Code: RC10/22R

START on the Vale of Neath Supplier Estate service road opposite Lamp Post No. 18. Proceed eastwards along the service road to the Resolven Roundabout (0.458 miles). (Safety Notice:- Do not cross the centre line of the road on the right hand bend). Take the 1st exit left along A465 dual carriageway westbound to the 1st exit left (4.862 miles). Continue up the loop to the small Tonna Roundabout where take the 1st exit to the large Aberdulais Interchange. Take the 4th exit (5.505 miles) to proceed down the slip road to re-join A465 dual carriageway. Proceed eastbound to the Resolven Roundabout where take 1st exit left to FINISH at the access road to the Canal Car Park on the crossvalley link road (10.006 miles). 

Traffic Flows: On a Saturday afternoon in early May our assessment is; Very Light on the unclassified service road, Light/Moderate on the A465 Dual Carriageway and Light on the cross-valley link road.

Course/Event History: A moderately fast course, quite popular and regularly used for both Club and Open events.  N.B. Marshals are not allowed on the A465 dual carriageway. 

NOTES:

1. The use of a vehicle for the timekeeper(s) at start and finish is where appropriate and is only identified as an example for the action to be taken.
2. Any small junctions or entrances to farms/facilities (garage, eatery, etc) that are not identified in this risk assessment have been considered but are not considered to be of significant risk and have therefore not been noted. 
3. No warming-up on the course is allowed once the event has started.
4. No U-Turns within sight of start/finish timekeeper are allowed once the event has started.
5. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.
