Dewey cruises to victory in Kingston Phoenix 10
John Dewey (Team Bottrill) cruised to victory by nearly a minute in the Kingston Phoenix 10 clocking a time of 20 minute and five seconds.
Run on a relatively flat out and back course near Dorking, Dewey powered around the circuit to win by 54 seconds.
The 35-year-old took a host of victories last year and clocked 19.07 in the A3cgr event before finishing 12th in the national 10-mile championship.
Behind, the battle for second couldn’t have been any closer as Robert Moore (Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT) and Liam Maybank (Twickenham CC) both clocked 20.59 to share the prize.
Maybank’s time was enough for him to clinch the fastest veteran prize while Samuel Wadsley (Poole Whls) was the fastest junior in 21.44.
The fastest woman on the day was Mel Wasley (SSLL Racing Team) who clocked 22.58.
