Pat Wright (Paceline RT) took a comfortable victory on a damp road at the Southern Counties CU 10 near Loxwood in Surrey on Saturday with a clear winning margin of 30 seconds.
Wright, who was also victorious on both days of the South Downs Bikes Two-Day Sporting Classic in February, made sure of the win ahead of second-place Carl Ferri (Cadence Performance) who followed up on a time of 22:03.
Ferri himself was notching consecutive runners-up finishes after he also placed second at the Easterley RC hilly last weekend.
He was pushed all the way for second spot by Pete Tadros on what was a sunny but cold day for the course to see its first action, the In Gear Quickvit rider falling four seconds short to take third on 22:07.
Steve Kane (Brighton Excelsior CC) took fourth place with a time of 22:32, whilst Dale Lush (Kingston Phoenix) took fifth on23:02 and Mark Newton back in sixth.
Katie Crowe (Dulwich Paragon CC) was the fastest woman finisher with a time of 26:18 and Theo Tadros (In Gear Quickvit) won the junior race with a 25:49 finish.
