Clocking a time of 20.01, Chris McNamara (Nuun-Sigma Sport RT) raced to victory in the Brighton Excelsior CC 10 staged on the G10/97 near Steyning in West Sussex on Saturday morning.
The 41-year-old was 15 seconds faster than his nearest rival James Rix (Crawley Wheelers), while the podium was completed by Mark Emsley (Team ASL360) in third with 20.39.
Tamar Vanderhaas (Lewes Wanderers CC) was fastest female with 24.24, giving her the win in that category by a minute and a half from Helen Webb (Sussex Nomads).
McNamara was also the winner of the veterans on standard prize with a plus of 6.02, which was just seven seconds ahead of David Pollard (In Gear-Quickvit Trainsharp).
The team prize went to Sussex Nomads, for whom Yuriy Tymchenko, Andrew Stiles and Jason Blenkarn were the top three fastest riders. And junior rider Ben Mckie (VC Londres) clocked 22.12 to win that category.
