Following on from his victory in the same club’s 10-mile event the previous day, Chris McNamara (Nuun-Sigma Sport) won the Brighton Excelsior CC 25 near Steyning in West Sussex on Sunday.
41-year-old McNamara clocked 52.09 to take the win by 30 seconds from James Rix, who had also placed second in the 10-mile event 24-hours earlier.
Similarly, Mark Emsley (Team ASL360) took third spot once again, 1-34 behind McNamara’s pace.
Dulwich Paragon CC celebrated as Katie Crowe won the women’s category with 1:04.20, while Chris McNamara was top veteran and the team prize went to Eastbourne Rovers CC.
