Stephen Williamson (a3crg) powered to victory by 44 seconds in the Southdown Velo 50.
In ideal conditions Williamson’s time of 1 hour 49 minutes and 34 seconds was easily enough for victory.
The course includes two laps of a loop course that features a climb.
Williamson, who also won the West Wales Cyclists’ League event over 100 miles last month, showed that he is just as quick over the shorted distance.
Tom Bertenshaw (Severn RC) clocked a time of 1:50.10 to clinch second place on the day while Andy Smith (Fareham Wheelers) recorded a 1:51.42 for third.
In the women’s event Laura Bartlett (a3crg) just missed out on going under the two hours mark with a time of 2:01.08 to clinch the category win.
