Taking victory by 13 seconds, GS Henley rider David Woodhouse clocked 19.23 to take the win in VC 10’s 10-mile time staged on the F11/10 course near Aston Clinton in Buckinghamshire on Bank Holiday Monday.
Woodhouse, who has a PB over the distance of 18.53 following his ride on the V718 in East Yorkshire, also won the Ross on Wye and District 10 last month and was second in the Welsh Championships a fortnight ago, the Portsmouth North End 25 in June and the Ogmore Valley Wheelers 25 in April.
Second spot went to veteran Kevin Tye (VeloRefined-Aerosmiths) with 19.36, while the podium was completed by Jon Wynn (T1 Diabetes.info), another five seconds back in a close battle. Another rider under the 20-minute mark was Jonathan Gates (RAF CA) who clocked 19.51 for fourth.
Top junior rider was Samuel Wadsley (Poole Wheelers) with 21.21, while the fastest female was Clarice Chung (SSLL Racing Team) with 21.58 for 67th overall, giving her the win in that category by 36 seconds from veteran Danuta Tinn (Maidenhead and Dist CC).
