Tom Rigby (Springfield Financial RT) took his first victory of the season in the sporting Barrow Central Wheelers 21 course.
The 27-year-old from Chorley, clocked a winning time of 45 minutes and 53 seconds on the course which contains several steep climbs.
Rigby had clocked a personal best of 19.03 on the 10-mile V718 course the previous day but preferred the hillier Cumbria course.
He said: “I find that I am more competitive on the hillier course and this had a couple of quite nasty climbs.
“There were exposed sections which made it tough due to a strong wind which was a head crosswind on the way out.
“I was quite well suited to the course but I didn’t know what time to expect as it was an unusual distance but I was happy with the result.
“I’ve had a few second places this season so it was nice to get a win.”
Mark Nulty (Glossop Kinder Velo CC) led the charge for second clocking a time of 47.32 while Richard Bickley (Border City Whs) finished third in 47.47.
Fastest woman was Chorlton Velo rider Claire Swoboda in a time of 57.57.
